**Summary**
This position reports to the Fiscal Director and manages the accounting responsibilities of assigned service
contracts and their cost centers. Provide accounting services and support to the Managers responsible for
those contracts. Contribute to contract management, audit, problem solving and operational improvement of
the Fiscal Office and the Management Team.

**Role and Responsibilities**
1. PROVIDE ACCOUNTING SERVICES TO ASSIGNED PROGRAM, (25%):
a. Review and reconcile receivables for these contracts which includes following up with
collections from assigned contracts.

b. Review checks requests and other expenditures for proper allocation and accuracy.
c. Review salary postings by Bookkeeper for accuracy of amount and allocation to cost centers.
d. Monitor, adjust, and record all prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and general journal

entries.
e. Calculate and record indirect costs charged to each of the assigned funds.
f. Produce and review monthly trial balance reports to ensure the financial activities and

account balances are appropriate and accurate.
g. Prepare and post adjusting journal entries as necessary and in accordance with procedures.
h. Reconcile all accounts of all assigned funds each quarter and preparing appropriate

worksheets for annual audits.
i. Assists the Fiscal Director, Administrative Director, CEO and Program Directors with financial

contract audits.

j. Prepare and disseminate applicable cash fund reports and ensures appropriate management
of receipts, accounting documentation of those funds.

k. Coordinates applicable receipts, accounting, reporting to managers and distribution for
appropriate fund.

2. PROVIDE FISCAL OVERSIGHT AND SUPPORT FOR SUPPORT FOR PROGRAMMANAGERS (20%) BY:
a. Review and advise Managers on relevant budgets and ensuring they are accurately entered.
b. Prepare and submit monthly billings and utilization reports.
c. Prepare and submit year-end cost and closeout reports; reconciling them upon review by

funding resources.
d. Provide account analyses and printouts as necessary or requested; advising Managers on

GAAP and contract fiscal policies.
3. SUPPORT THE AGENCY, FISCAL OFFICE AND PROGRAMS (35%) BY:
a. Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts receivable, journal entries, bank accounts,
credit accounts and client Fees.

b. As assigned of date entry into accounting software such as agency wide budgets adjustments
and journal entries.

c. Assume secondary responsibility for accounting needs including accounts payable, payroll
system, vacation, employee benefits, taxes, and audits preparation.

d. Responds to Fiscal Director and CEO on creating and inputting data for financial agency wide
report for reporting purposes, analysis and documentation.

e. Responds to business licenses, tax registration, property tax and sales regulations.
f. Assists in managing financial records for fiscal agent subcontracted agreements
g. Assist with bank deposits and coordinating cash receipts.
h. Assists with Supervision of interns and volunteers.
i. Actively participates in weekly Fiscal Meetings, Agency wide meetings and funding source

meetings.
j. Responds to management needs on financial information reports for analysis.

4. RECORDS (5%):
a. Ensure that records and documents are organized and stored properly.
b. Rotate records from office storage to offsite storage in accordance with agency policy.

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**
1. REQUIREMENTS:
a. Four
- year college education related to field or equivalent work experience related to field.
b. Ability to analyze accounting problems or issues.
c. Permanent resident or U.S. Citizen; proof of work eligibility upon hiring.
d. Valid California Driver's License and current automobile liability insurance.
e. Must have at least three (3) years of recovery or drug free lifestyle as of the date of the

f. Must be able to work with people in diverse cultural, educational, social, and economic

backgrounds.
g. Demonstrate knowledge and skill in computer operations.
h. Demonstrate knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP.

2. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
a. Bilingual or bicultural capabilities with Asian/ Pacific languages and cultural groups.
b. Skill in operating American FundWare Accounting Software.
c. Prior experience with non
- profit fund accounting.
