**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Develops, writes, and produces external communication tools such as key messages for local leadership, social media, videos, and public announcements.
Builds compelling content across a variety of audiences and ensures all messages are aligned with internal communication strategies and global framework and priorities.
Develops and executes integrated local media plans in line with overall global media strategies and business priorities.
Works closely with the global PR team to elaborate key messages tailored to local needs and realities.
Researches and reports on timely issues and reputational risks to proactively plan local external communications initiatives.
Develop and execute PR and Communication strategies to promote BRP initiatives in Mexico.
Write compelling content, such as news releases, media Q&As, key messages, speeches and other internal and public documents.
Create social media strategies and content to raise awareness on BRP's presence in Mexico, and to promote specific events and awards in line with our business objectives.
Manage inbound media requests.
Plan and manage the speaking and interview engagements for local spokespeople as needed, and develop talking points.
Proactively identify media opportunities and pitch story ideas.
Represent BRP at major industry events
Track and analyze media coverage and prepare monthly media coverage reports for the global management team.
Further develop and maintain media relations with key and relevant media outlets in Mexico.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
BA/BS in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field
Five to seven years of experience in the communications field
Strong written and oral communication skills in Spanish and English, including copyediting and familiarity with AP style.
Public speaking skills, an asset
Ability to work with multiple agencies and community stakeholders.
Ability to synthesize complex materials and craft creative, persuasive language and compelling messaging for various global audiences.
Experience building and maintaining strong internal relationships.
Self-starter capable of assuming responsibility for several tasks at once with little supervision.
Project management and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Google Workspace tools as well as Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
Strong attention to detail to ensure all work accuracy, completeness, and thoroughness.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and work effectively on a variety of projects concurrently in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.
