Belmond Hotels Mexico (Maroma A Belmond Hotel in Riviera Maya and Casa De Sierra Nevada A Belmond Hotel, San Miguel de Allende) seeks a dedicated and proactive luxury Area Leisure Sales Manager to join our passionate sales team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for the international leisure segment for both hotels in Mexico.
A charismatic strategic team player who can sell and create bespoke unique journeys for the travel agency community.
Target, solicit, and cultivate business within the luxury and leisure market segment, with efforts to build business relationships with key consortia, Belmond Bellini, Wholesaler, Tour Operators, and Local DMC partners securing room, suite, and villa revenue. Key responsabilities includes: Responsible for the production of Leisure Sales accounts (International markets). Responsible for wholesale contract and marketing plan (Worldwide) together with Area Director of Sales – Mexico (ADOS - MEX), FIT accounts - Direct clients, GDS, Belmond Bellini accounts, Luxury Consortia (Amex FHR, Virtuoso, Signature, Internova Select, Serandipians) & other Luxury Travel Advisors. Develop promotions and sales campaigns for implementation in the leisure market segment in conjunction with the ADOS-MEX Proactively manage, qualify, and solicit all existing and new leisure accounts in assigned territory Preparation of Production Reports of FIT segment (competitive analysis, and market trends).
Responsible for analysing yearly consortia and leisure programs to ensure strategic fit with annual business goals with ADOS-MEX.
Maintain and further develop the leisure database Coordinate and Conduct sales calls on key accounts and new business accounts with Regional Sales team and assist with assigned trade shows.
Represent the resort at appropriate travel industry trade shows and conferences.
Maintain knowledge of all Belmond Hotels to facilitate cross-selling and build relationships with sales counterparts from Regional Sales Office and sister hotels to relay leads and requests.
Communicate need period dates and respond promptly to all leads.
Professionally represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and events.
In charge of site inspections and Fam trips for FIT and wholesale market with the Sales Coordinator.
To develop new marketing tools/collateral for the leisure market segment.
Coordinate and monitor scheduled direct mail efforts in conjunction with the ADOS-MEX & Area Marketing team – Mexico.
Support ADOS-MEX for submission of the S&M annual business plan, budget planning, action plan, and travel plan.
Maintain expenses within the budgeted guidelines.
Support ADOS-MEX and Revenue team for monthly forecast and revenue management. Participate in scheduled sales meetings, training, and other sales strategy-related meetings as required.
Attending sales meetings and leadership training sessions as required.
All other duties as required Requirements This position is based in Maroma, a Belmond hotel in Riviera Maya.
Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English / Spanish language.
(Any other language is a plus) College Education preferred.
Previous experience in leisure sales management is mandatory (3 years+) with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets Strong selling and interpersonal skills Adapt in S&M systems & tools. The ability to achieve yearly personal sales booking goals. Ability to interpret all sales agreements and sales contracts alongside the hotel's policies, procedures, and standards.
Candidates must have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills Experience in Proactive sales.
Ability to analyze sales metrics and make data-driven decisions.
Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer complaints effectively. Familiarity with budgeting and sales forecasting.
