Nepanoa has partnered with our client on their search for Assistant General Counsel- **Summary**_- **Key Duties and Responsibilities**_- Lead and manage the company Legal support, ensuring efficient and effective legal support for all operations- Provide strategic legal advice and counsel on a broad range of legal matters impacting the Mexican business, including corporate law, commercial contracts, labor and employment matters, corporate and regulatory compliance, litigation, and risk management- Partner with the leadership team to proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate legal risks.- Work closely with the cross-functional U.S.Based team, including regarding litigation, labor and employment, compliance, commercial, and corporate law matters- Manage outside legal counsel relationships and ensure cost-effective legal representation- Stay up-to-date on relevant Mexican laws and regulations impacting the transportation and logistics industry- Qualifications_- Licensed lawyer in Mexico with a minimum of 8 years of experience- Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)- Strong preference for legal experience in the US and/or in Mexico with a US public company- Proven track record of leading and managing a legal team- Strong understanding of Mexican corporate law, commercial contracts, labor and employment law, and compliance matters- Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels- Exceptional organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize, coordinate and satisfy numerous competing demands in a fast-paced environment- Commitment to integrity and confidentiality- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy- Experience with using data to identify and measure key performance metrics- Preferred experience in transportation and logisticsWork Location: In person
