.Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Automation Engineer (Programming) located in Guadalajara, North Campus. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Automation Engineer (Programming) role will be responsible for specifying, designing, and maintaining automation equipment, tooling, and applications as required to meet specifications.What a typical day looks like:Design, develop, and implement automation systems for industrial processes. Knowledge of metal fabrication processes (Punching, Bending, Assembly, etc.) is desirable.Program and configure programmable logic controllers (PLC), robots / Cobots, vision systems, and other automation devices.Integrate, test, and debug automation systems with existing equipment and processes.Establish technical manuals, drawings, models, training documentation, preventative maintenance plans, and troubleshooting guides for automated equipment and automated processes.Ensure the uptime of machines through regular preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance.Should be willing to learn & enhance skills in all types of Automation equipment.Should be able to give feedback to improve the design of process and equipment.Direct daily department activities to maximize equipment utilization and support production needs.Coordinate maintenance activities with other functional groups such as engineering and operations to ensure the efficient operation of the departmental function.Collaborate and offer input to planning, building, and maintaining the Automation framework and associated processes for new products.Identify and drive change to ensure automation effectiveness of existing processes.Demonstrate a thorough understanding of customer requirements and offer suggestions and ideas on how best to deliver automation solutions.The experience we're looking to add to our team:BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience.Experience in a similar position.Advanced English communication skills.Experience programming of PLCs, HMIs, Robots, Cobots.Knowledge of sensors and vision systems programming.Experience and knowledge in mechanical tolerances for equipment design.Knowledge of pneumatic and electrical diagrams; 2D, 3D reading.Experience in industrial, sheet metal, design to be fabricated by mechanical systems (e.G., material selection, hardening treatments, tolerances establishment, etc.).Availability to travel 20%.What you'll receive for the great work you provide:Competitive SalaryLife & Medical insuranceChristmas BonusFood CouponsSaving FundLife InsuranceKJ12 Job Category: Production EngineeringRequired Skills:Optional Skills:Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities
