Our products, present in a wide variety of fields, that contribute to improve the quality of life of millions of people**Job Description**:- The Mechanical Project Leader acts as the Sub-project manager for the mechanical development role within the projects and, is responsible for making sure the technical team understands and fulfills the customer's electric power steering (EPS) requirements on time.- Will be responsible to coordinate cross functional engineering teams to achieve project goals during all the project life cycle. ME-PL leads the support teams (e.G. purchasing, production plant project leader, mechanical design engineer, testing engineer) within the project execution, on topics related to mechanical topics.- Manage North America or Japanese automotive project requirements to be implemented on time, within costs and specifications.- Collaborate with SW and HW development functions on advanced Driver Assistance technologies such as Autonomous Driving, Lane Keeping, Automatic Parking, and more.- Main contact/interface and coordinator with customers and other stakeholders to understand their needs to deduce prioritization of increments by business value.- Implementation of defined technical content to project targets.- Risk management within discipline scope and support of the Project Manager- Project planning and tracking within discipline scope, cross-functional aligned between the disciplines for mechanical topics- Evaluation and planning of mechanical requirements and estimation of effort within project scope- Direct contact with OEMs on technical discussions within project scope- Support of the Project Manager in the management of mechanical issues within project scope.- Preparation of releases within the project scope (e.G. Technical Releases, Quality Gates)- Implementation of the technical requirements in the project acc. to specification, plan, defined processes and regulations within discipline- Takes design and implementation decisions to fulfill the technical requirements in the project within the defined boundaries. Accept / reject technical requirements in the customer project.- Responsible for evaluating customer specifications, translating requirements into requirement evaluation, tests coverage, and support of issues tracking.- Carry out project management according to Bosch APQP.- Costs estimation and budget development, tracking and control.- Plan and moderate FMEA's, safety reviews, samples build and installation workshops.- Project meeting organization internal & external for monitoring and reporting to report project status to upper management (open topics, issues monitoring, tracking and resolving) on frequently basis (weekly, monthly, other)
