Description and RequirementsThe Bill of Materials Engineer will work on Customer BOM/EC enablement including data releases, IT system enablement, EC releases and label EC management.
Additionally, this role will also require end-to-end data enablement with customers and Lenovo's internal teams, including engineering and manufacturing data enablement.
Work with global teams to define shipment features and specsBuild Product CTO BOM and MECH.BOM correctlyCreate BOM/EC data release plan and track data readinessClosely work and communicate with related functional teams to ensure E2E data accuracyResolve BOM/EC issues quickly and accuratelyWork with internal team to plan part transitionsPerform both sustaining and NPI BOM changesAbility to program in VBA or Python to validate workMinimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline
• 3+ years BOM/EC working experience in server and hardware development
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in direct customer engagements
• Masters degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering is a plus
• Hyperscale/Cloud experience a plus
• Experience with MS Office products especially excel and outlook
• Knowledge of server components and parts
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation
• Ability to interface with Lenovo and customer
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead teams and have the autonomy to make decisions
• Good documentation and organizational skills
• Ability to quickly learn, question, and collaborate on solving problems
• Ability to work effectively cross-culturally across teams in the Mexico, US and Asia
