What's exciting about the role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Continuity Consultant to join our team based in the Americas, with responsibilities spanning our global operations. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and maintaining a Business Continuity program and identifying business continuity strategies and solutions to ensure the resilience and continuous operation of our global business units. As a Business Continuity Consultant, you will collaborate with departments worldwide.
Key responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery programs across multiple business units worldwide Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities that could impact business operations Lead business impact analyses to determine critical business functions and prioritize recovery strategies Coordinate with global and regional teams to ensure the business continuity plans align with local regulations and business needs Facilitate training and drills for emergency response teams and business continuity coordinators across different regions Regularly review and ensure business continuity plans reflect the changing risk landscape and business processes Provide expert guidance and support during actual emergencies and business disruptions Provide guidance and leadership in development in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery software and tools Prepare metrics, reports and presentations for senior management detailing readiness and response strategies Work collaboratively with IT departments to ensure alignment of IT disaster recovery plans with business continuity plans Skills and Experience we desire 5-10 years of professional experience in business continuity planning, risk management, or a related field Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline Professional certification in Business Continuity Management (e.g., CBCP, MBCI) is highly preferred Strong understanding of global business operations and the ability to manage projects with cross-functional teams Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work well under pressure Proficient in business continuity planning software and tools Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead during crises Willingness to travel as needed to support global operations and conduct site-specific assessments Our commitment Verifone is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
