Acquires and maintains technical understanding of products purchased. Perform cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities. Obtain materials, components, equipment, and services. Develop new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate. Monitor the cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure the highest quality at the best value. May recommend cost-saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and vendor evaluation criteria.Responsible for monitoring supplier order delivery responses, promise date acknowledgements, expedites, and any schedule adjustments, all with communication to and with suppliers.Responsible for supplier on-time delivery metrics including communicating and engaging corrective action plans with special focus on critical commodities.Establish relationships with Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Quality.Be first contact at Rockwell with special focus on critical commodities to establish supplier awareness of Rockwell Automation requirements.Participate in and support the coordinated purchase agreement programs with the Rockwell Strategic Sourcing organization.Participate in localization projects implementing regional alternate sources of supply with agreement with Strategic Sourcing, taking a lead on specific projects where assigned.Report to Purchasing ManagerSkillsBachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering or equivalent.Minimum 2 years of supply chain/procurement related experience.Knowledge of English.Proficient in dealing with language and cultural barriers.Knowledge in data architecture and management applications (e.G.
