This position is responsible for driving indirect purchasing strategies, projects, and procurement. This position is responsible for the procurement of goods and services company-wide, as assigned. This includes implementing and managing company-wide contracts; RFX management; Supply base market research and evaluation; Cost
reduction and process improvement projects. This position will act as the liaison between all LZB locations ensuring that we leverage our total purchasing power and work to leverage standardized best practice purchasing
processes across all locations.
- Manages the Request for "X" (RFI, RFP, RFQ) process for identified strategic sourcing
initiatives. Develops, coordinates, or supports the implementation plans for
these strategic sourcing initiatives ensuring the best overall value for the
company.
- Leads contract negotiations for all corporate wide agreements for assigned goods and
services.
- Enforces corporate purchasing policy, processes, and controls into assigned areas of
company spending (ex. HR, Travel, Services, MRO). The includes conducting
any E1 training and P2P problem solving as required.
- Analyzes supplier spend data to identify (and implement) cost savings opportunities for
assigned area of responsibility
- retail, manufacturing plants, distribution
centers, and offices (i.e. Company-wide).
- Act as a local Subject Matter Expert for E1 (P2P) and Zycus (or any selected
Source-to-Pay solution)
- Project management duties as assigned.
Experiência y requisitos
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Materials Management, or Business Administration with 4-6 years of experience in purchasing/supply management, or equivalent
Knowledge of purchasing/manufacturing principles, including:
- Supplier Scorecards
- ERP systems
- Lean manufacturing
- Excellent negotiating skills, and strong supplier cost analysis techniques
Continuous improvement mentality, strong problem-solving skills, and an ability to effectively manage multiple tasks/projects using proven project management principles and concepts.
- Strong communications skills (written & verbal)
- Proficient in MS Office suite of products
- Up to 25% travel. international travel possible
**PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS**:
Experience in multi-plant manufacturing environments.
CPM or APICS certification.
Experience with ERP systems.
