Through our people, leadership development, services, technology and scale, Wabtec delivers better outcomes for global customers by speaking the language of industry.Role Summary:Essential Responsibilities:As Buying/Procurement Specialist you will:O Achieve best practices to pursue Company goals, Objectives and deadlineso Delivery task on time and follow up Standard Worko Compile weekly/monthly reports, as required and perform presentationso Troubleshoots problems and provide proactive resolutionso Meet, maintain and improve Departments KPI's accordingly Goalso Place and follow-up on POs (Purchase Order)- Turn requisitions into PO's, ensure E-Promise date information, follow up orders to ensure on time delivery, minimize Past Due orders- Informed, detect and escalate potential issues to prevent shortageso Manage relationships with suppliers including On Time Delivery, Material availability, Lead Time maintenance and reduction- Develop strong and quality communication with Customers and Suppliers to keep on time feedback for expedites, escalation and effective customer complains handlingo Update MRP systems- Resolve Accounts Payable issues (Trouble Tickets)- Address NCMR and Supplier Corrective action when need for resolution- Maintain material pipeline and prevent shortages- Balance tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive Material Availability and other key business metrics.- Process material cancelation according MRP signals in order to prevent excess of inventory (EOO)o Develop awareness of manufacturing processes and improve product knowledge- Process material deviation (SDR) and PPAP's according Process and Sourcing initiatives- Issue workflow and follow up price increase (PIR)- Contribute to projects as team member within the Fulfillment organization.Qualifications/Requirements:- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
