This position is in Irvine, CA but has flexibility to be based in other CSS locations.

The Global Planning Strategic Planning Manager is responsible for partnering cross-functionally, including with Global Strategic Marketing (GSM) and Supply Chain teams, to develop and deploy Demand Strategies across the strategic horizon as part of the Long-Range Portfolio Planning (LRPP) process, and then use the LRPP as an input into the Strategic Capacity Management Process (SCM) to ensure capacity is sufficient over the course of the strategic horizon to meet commercial needs.
This person will lead and provide strategic analysis and partner closely with functional team members both internal and external to BWI to build people, process, and systems capability.
This role will provide strong leadership to optimally drive strategic approaches from planning through execution and promote standard methodologies across the organization.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Represent BWI Global Planning team for discussion and analysis on Strategic Planning, both internally to BWI but also across the broader J&J MedTech organization
- Support GSM in the development of the LRPP
- Support development of scenarios around the LRPP as business conditions and changes dictate
- Develop Strategic Capacity Management (SCM) processes and tools in BWI, leveraging best practices from across MedTech
- Using LRPP as an input, support deployment of SCM across BWI
- Provide insights into IBP process and forums, and otherwise present and provide regular updates to senior leadership
- Ensure risks, issues and dependencies are being documented, supervised, and proactively handled to minimize disruption to successful delivery, bring up appropriately when needed
- Develop a robust organizational change and communication plan to ensure readiness to adapt

**Qualifications** Education**:

- A minimum of a BS/BA degree in supply chain management, operations management, engineering, or related field.
A Master's degree or MBA is preferred

**Experience and Skills**:
**Required**:

- A minimum 6 years of experience in Project Management, Supply Chain, or Operations
- Extensive working knowledge of End-to-End Supply Chain
- Previous experience in demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, network planning, S&OP, and / or business systems implementation
- High level of personal initiative and ability to function autonomously with a strong sense of urgency, self-confidence, and comfort with new and rapidly changing situations and environments
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cross functional team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

**Preferred**:

- Manugistics / Blue Yonder, JDE, SAP, Microsoft Access and/or SQL proficiency
- Experience working in a commercial function

**Other**:

- This role may require up to 10% of domestic & international travel
