.Carpenter Foreman Home Office Location: 9990 Coconut Rd #375, Bonita Springs, FL 34135Jobsite Location: Varies based on the project assignment in the state of FloridaPosition Classification: Full-Time RegularAbout This OpportunityAs an experienced Foreman at Rockford Construction, you will self-perform a variety of work related to structural, rough, and finish carpentry. You will work on a multitude of residential and commercial construction projects. You will be responsible for reporting and communicating project status and issues to the Vice President. You will also have the ability to train and mentor team members as the trades team continues to grow.If you would like to join a highly collaborative and innovative company with career progression, apply online today by submitting your application!Key Responsibilities Rough carpentry including framing walls, bulkheads, blocking, stringer layout, involving wood and metal construction. Finish carpentry including wood base, jambs, casing, hinge pockets, wood door installations, window installations, sidelights. Assign team members on specific tasks to ensure the efficient completion of the project. Base and wall cabinet prefabricated and custom countertop installations. Door hardware installations including handsets, door closers, kick plates, panic bars, and sweeps. Assist other carpenters with required tasks as needed; foster a teamwork environment. Read blueprints and ensure work meets current building code requirements. Receive and organize material deliveries. Actively manage and maintain safety on the job site. Review and interpret contract documents. Maintain the cleanliness of the jobsite, such as removing trash, organizing materials, sweeping, etc. Fulfill the role of Trades Carpenter when not acting in the role of Trades Foreman. Other duties as assigned. Education Requirements:A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.Competency Requirements:A minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience and people management skills to successfully lead a team. Must possess the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects at a time. Ability to follow instructions and work with others to complete tasks. Familiarity with MIOSHA and OSHA requirements related to assigned tasks.
