**Position**:Component Engineer (Mechanical/Materials)

**Location**:Apodaca

**Position Summary**:The Component Engineer plays a key role on deploying and supporting the company's strategy for standard components management that will drive standardization, reuse, and risk management. Supports the standardization of components and materials working with the engineering, operations & procurement teams to reduce duplicate parts and create standard part and material descriptions.

The Component Engineer monitors the market/suppliers/technology trends and identifying risk areas related to standard components and materials.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Deploy & support Standard Component Management Strategy for the company.
- Create standard component and material definitions.
- Drives standardization and rationalization of component and materials.
- Support teams on:

- Define and select - Components & Materials
- Risk Management & Failure Analysis
- Alternate Sourcing (Shortages, Productive, Multisource, Quality,)
- Organize technical trainings & seminars.
- Monitor markets & technology trends.

**Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities**:

- Proven experience managing standard materials & components (Component Engineering).
- Good understanding of Standard Components Management Strategy.
- Process oriented. Continuous improvement mindset. Result-driven. Quality-driven.
- Strong technical competencies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skill in both Spanish & English (written, verbal).
- Proven successful work in a multicultural environment.
- Maintains a collaborative attitude with peers and colleagues to effectively contribute to the group's achievement of goals and to help foster a positive work environment.
- Ability to manage/organize high volume of information in a comprehensive way.
- Ability to keep track and organize work from multiple jobs at once, keeping deadlines.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing situations.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree (BS.) in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Metallurgical, Materials, Industrial ).
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role (Mechanical and/or materials).
- Experience with databases (creation/management).
- 20%+ Travel availability (Valid Passport & USA Visa).
- Experience on New Product Design process is a plus.

Salario: $36,000.00 - $65,000.00 al mes

Horario:

- Turno de 10 horas
