Job TitleConstruction Project ManagerPosition PurposeRegional Construction Manager Mexico- Manages the Construction of the stores in Mexico, by working with Director of Construction and supporting team. This includes evaluating and qualifing bids, contracts, change orders to ensure that Autozone's resources are wisley used. This postion also includes training of PMs, site visits in the field to verify quality of work, with accordance to plans and specs. The Regional Construction Manager should also communicate with his/her counterparts in all areas of Autozone, with an emphasis on Real Estate, and Maintenance.Primary Accountabilities- Estimating costs on proformas and approving lay-outs on proposed projects.- Manage total construction process from design exchange to store construction. Setting schedules, approving budgets, problem resolution, construction execution.- Train PMs and visit sites to ensure the stores are being built to plans and specs.- Store visits and site visits to see construction and maintenance issues. Also include pre-con visits, with Real Estate and Design to verify site conditions, and input for RE approvals.- Monitor and audit OFIs to ensure cost efficiency and delivery of service and end product.- Develop and find new contractors/vendors to perform development services for AZ in Mexico.- Work with Operations to resolve issues from Store Maintenance. This will include periodical meetings, store visits, and constant communication. Also, investigate and implement reporting, costing, and database for Store Maintenance in Mexico.Education & ExperienceLevel of Formal Education: An associate degree (two-year program) or equivalent formal training program.Area of Study: Business/ConstructionYears of Experience: More than seven years.Type of Experience: Experience in Construction industry, with emphasis on fast track retail constructionSpecial Certifications or Technical skills: Basic computer skills, construction estimating, and schedulingOther/Preferred: Bilingual capabilities, strong managerial skills
