You also need to exude strong teamwork and collaboration skills, including the ability to mentor and be mentored.Role's Mission:Key Responsibilities:- Oversee all accounting operations including but not limited to the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings specific to the LATAM region.- Develop and enforce internal controls to maintain the integrity of all financial transactions and reporting.- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process with external auditors.- Manage the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, including variance analysis and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making.- Implement and optimize financial systems and technology to improve efficiency and provide strategic data analytics.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, providing financial insights and risk assessment.- Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation in the LATAM region, adapting company policies as necessary to maintain compliance.- Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.**Requirements**:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA (or equivalent) is highly preferred.- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in the FinTech or financial services industry, particularly within the LATAM market, is strongly desired.- Comprehensive understanding of Mexican GAAP & IFRS- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and the development of internal controls.- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.- Fluent in Spanish and English, with excellent communication skills.- Proficient in financial software systems and advanced Excel skills. Experience with ERP systems is a plus (Oracle)- Analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
