The position is in Mexico City. What the job involvesMaximize returns on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.Map, develop and manage strict financial controls in accordance with company procedures to guarantee financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders, are delivered in a timely and accurate manner.Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls, policies and procedures that guide financial decisions.Recommend changes in policies or procedures that will improve financial performance.Conduct monthly audits and provide information to external auditors to confirm and monitor the financial conditions of the fund.Prepare monthly reports for the management team, as well as quarterly and year-end financial statements.Oversee the accounting areas (tax, treasury, payroll, among other) to ensure compliance and best practices are being followed.Build risk assessment models to evaluate investments.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.Supervise and direct accounting staff, ensuring compliance with best practices and established financial regulations.Ensure the financial data is recorded accurately to guarantee reporting is delivered on time.Who we are looking forDemonstrated solid background in a controllership or financial and accounting managing position for a PE fund or company.Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.Knowledge of SAP system, IFRS and US GAAP.Strong analytical, management and number skills.Process and procedural oriented. Attention to detail and organized.Proactive problem solver.
