.**Description**This position will play a role in analyzing and interpreting data to optimize operations, improve safety measures, and enhance overall efficiency. Will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing large datasets related to various aspects of our railroad operations. The Data Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify trends and provide actionable insights to key stakeholders. Additionally, will contribute to the development and implementation of data-driven strategies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the department. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.**Accountabilities**- Data Collections: Gather, extract and organize large dataset from various sources such as Delays codes, Crews Data, Train performance.- Data anlysis: Utilize statistical techniques and data analysis tools to identify trends, patterns, correlations and anomalies within the data to derive meaningful insights.- Perform analysis, and present findings or recommendations based on data insights.- Collaborate on process improvement projects by identifying areas for enhancement through data analysis, implementing solutions, and monitoring their effectiveness.- Root cause analysis of train delays / identification of solutions- Educate team on DCOM (Direction/Competence/Opportunity/Motivation)- Root Cause analysis and "Playback" expectations- Reinstitute Delay Council and Process Improvement initiatives.- Work to drive adoption of RPM across organization- Work to help team understand new CPKC measures / tools / processes and ensure we meet Executive Team expectations for NOC / Crew Office / MLU "command of business".- Support GM NOC / Supt NOC in Monterrey and Spring on ad hoc analysis.- Includes efforts / plans to align processes, procedures with broader CPKC OCs in Calgary, Minneapolis and KC.- Develop and maintain processes and reporting around Network Ops functions and compliance including, but not limited to the following:- Train lineup creation / accuracy- Crew Management - availability / assignment / ITD / call accuracy / compliance to CBA- Locomotive utilization - power distribution / utilization- Train size - tonnage / length performance vs. targets- Net Speed.- Train miles per day / car miles per day - gaps to targets / solutions.**Required**- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience.- Experience in gathering requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, design thinking, task and workflow analysis.- Experience with process mapping and / or project management
