May use the Quote Form as an analysis tool.- Assesses and applies relevant cost data to part level routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards.- Provides estimates to supply management and engineering for target costing and supplier negotiation activities.- Provides insight and assistance to the Strategic Sourcing process and helps team develop strategies for sourcing, negotiations and decision-making.- Analyzes the impact of cost drivers on globally sourced commodities and assists in the development of terms and conditions.- Provides industry/market analysis for commodities to assist the sourcing teams in structuring and negotiating long-term agreements and in understanding the cost drivers that affect the volatility or stability of how commodities are priced.- Develops and maintains cost models to assist the Strategic Sourcing teams to ensure analyses of all costs are considered during the sourcing, negotiation and decision making process. Assist engineers and Supply Management personnel in Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) and/or Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP) decisions.- Independently develop new cost tools/libraries, visits suppliers for gaining cost/manufacturing intelligence and leads Design to Cost (D2C) efforts.- Work with Supply Base Managers cost strategies
