**Mission of the Role**:
This role manages product delivery and execution of projects with automotive OEMs and deliver these projects on time, within budget and of high quality.
**Key objectives of this Role**:
- Responsible for engineering execution and continuous delivery of current model audio products, focusing on Quality, Cost, Development, Delivery and Management.
- Lead implementation of SCR and VA activities.
- Adhere to Visteon corporate and local processes, methods, procedures.
- Establish Engineering resource, expense and capital budget for each project.
- Lead technical meetings with Customer management, be the owner of engineering deliverables in front of the customer.
- Drive improvement and efficiency in engineering execution.
- Coordinate and drive cross functional team alignment.
- Track and manage the engineering budget.
- Provide leadership support in resolving technical issues - especially cross functional aspects.
- Provide clarity and business perspective to the team to take the right decisions.
- Develop technical and leadership talent within project team.
**Key Performance Indicators**:
- Performance to engineering budget of resources, expenses, and reimbursements.
- Three week turn around time for customer DCR
- Management of supplier change requests/component shortages with zero stop ship conditions
- Design changes to meet yearly VA/VE targets
- Customer satisfaction from Delivery and Quality stand point
**Key Year One Deliverables**:
- Proficiency and use of Visteon Design and Release process
- Fluent understanding of a highly complex number of end item radios
- Planning and coordination for software introduction to address customer driven changes and internal fixes
- Risk assessment and evaluation for component substitutes
**Qualification, Experience and Skills**:
To be a good fit for the Chief Program Engineer you will have:
- 10 plus years' experience in Electronics Product development, Program execution and launch.
- 5+ years' experience in leading global engineering teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering - preferably Electrical Engineering and/or Software Engineering.
- Ability to lead and influence cross functional teams at all levels and work collaboratively in a global environment.
- Responsive and proactive; decision-making focused on implementing practical and timely solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with effective delegation while maintaining responsibility and accountability for timely results.
- Demonstrate high attention to detail.
**Desired Competencies**:
- Experience with embedded software development and understanding of software architectures.
- Experience with automotive electronics manufacturing and OEM vehicle packaging.
- Management of a global engineering team and cross-functional disciplines including purchasing, manufacturing, quality and finance.
- Prior roles with P&L management of $250 Mil in revenue.
