Their role includes managing documentation, operative costs, and establishing relationships with carriers, customs brokers, and internal customers. Their work directly impacts product availability and the company's profitability goals.Leadership Responsibilities:This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, decision-making, and effective communication skills to collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders.Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication:Facilitating Cross-Department Collaboration: Must effectively collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, supply chain, finance, procurement, and legal, to ensure seamless customs operations.Liaising with External Stakeholders: Must maintain effective communication with brokers, suppliers, and logistics partners. This is crucial for building strong relationships, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth customs clearance processes.Accountabilities:Follow up with suppliers for shipments in transit to Mexico.Communicate with shipping companies for cargo release.Monitor bonded warehouse acceptance entries and labeling inspection requests.Support internal and external audits.Raise any risks detected in daily operations.Submit documents for signature needed for customs processes: letters for customs procedures or cargo release with carriers.Audit customs broker expense invoices.Authorize and follow up on payments to suppliers.Provide documents for goods receipt.Process goods receipt in ERP - SAP.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in International Business, Foreign Affairs, Business Administration, or a related discipline.Proficiency in Excel (pivots and common functions for data analysis).Experience in ERP and PBI is a plus.Experience:2 - 3 years of experience in Customs and Trade Compliance.Knowledge of Customs Regulations, bonded warehouse, and the spirits industry is a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
