Customs Compliance Specialist
Position Responsibilities: The duties listed below are intended only as examples of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to this class.
·Auditing and validation of the correct update of BOMs.
·Ensure the correct classification for raw material components.
·Register and update the classification of new models of finished product.
·Validate and audit the correct integration of the database of the Foreign Trade Inventory Control System (Annex 24 and Annex 30).
·Analyze the Cost for Duty Report and update it in the Schedule A24 system.
·Monthly integration of the requirements for the correct legal compliance.
·Perform monthly reports for the correct legal compliance (INEGI, CIVA, customer/supplier report, etc).
·The correct administration and control of the electronic and physical foreign trade file.
·Perform monthly and semi-annual legal compliance audits.
·Control, manage, renew in a timely manner and ensure the maintenance of the Mexican Official Standards (NOMs) NOM-001 and NOM-024 (NYCE/ ANCE).
·Implement Free Trade Agreements, apply the benefits and audit their annual update (T-MEC, EUR1, FTAUEM, etc).
·Correct preparation and annual update of the USMCA (T-MEC) analysis of finished products.
·Administration of entries for rework of sections 9801 and 9802 of the American Tariff.
·Audit, validate and ensure the correct filing of Entrys (7501).
·Participation and execution of projects to ensure legal compliance in foreign trade.
·Support in the creation and updating of procedures and work instructions necessary to comply with all legal regulations in Foreign Trade.
Support in legal compliance activities of Universal Electronics and any subsidiary of the group.
Know the Integrated Management System (IMS) policy and apply it in their daily activities.
Comply with the processes integrated into the Integrated Management System (IMS) as well as know the environmental aspects of their area and contribute to the application of operational controls to minimize the environmental impact.
Have an active participation in the Integrated Management System (IMS) audits.

To comply withintegrated processes related to Integral management system, and to know environmental aspects of his / her area and to support operational controls that apply to minimize environmental impact
To actively participate on Integral management system audits
Formal Education & Certification ·BS in Foreign trade, international business preferred, other areas of study may be considered
Knowledge & Experience ·Customs Law, General Rules of Foreign Trade
·'Rules and Criteria of the Secretary of Economy
·'Foreign Trade Law
·'Pedimentos (Annex 22)
·'Control of customs inventories (Annex 24)
·'Control System for Credit and Guarantee Accounts (Annex 30)
·Certifications
·'Official Mexican Standards (NOMs)
·Advanced English
·General knowledge of US Customs
·2-3 years similar jobs experience
·Experience in audits and validation of Annex 24 and Annex 30.
·Desirable experience in U.S. Customs compliance.
·Experience dealing with government agencies like Economy secretary, SAT, SHCP
·Experience in Certifications and NOM Procedures
