Data Steward - Contractor (Level 8 Equivalent)
**Responsibilities**:
- Execute standard policy for onboarding all in scope data into environments globally.
- Work with Data Ecosystem team to manage standards and ensure adherence
- Responsible for the promotion of data accuracy and adherence to defined data management and governance practices, as well as driving acceptance of enterprise data standards and policies across the various business segments and areas that utilize (formally and informally) enterprise data and information.
- Maintain and advise relevant stakeholders as appropriate on data governance-related matters.
- Coordinate across the organization (with fellow Enterprise Data Stewards and the EDG leader; strategic initiatives, Digital Use Cases and the federated data network) to maintain consistency of critical enterprise, digital, operational and analytical data.
- Ensure data-centric activities are aligned with the EDG program and leverage applicable data standards, governance processes, and overall best practices.
- Demonstrate domain and/or business functional knowledge to enable validation of data requirements
- Identify Data Sources and partner with business and tech teams to address gaps; check joining of different data sources generates a meaningful final dataset for a particular use case - Perform trend and/or pattern analysis
- Support Source to Target Mapping (STTM) - Create data quality rules
- Provide guidance to tech teams on harmonization and standardization of disparate data sets
- Monitor data quality scorecards/reports and engage data owners to address exceptions and rule gap
**Qualifications / Requirements**:
- 4+ years of experience working in Data Governance or Data Management experience within a global CPG (Consumer Packaged Good) company or similar industry, general understanding of data governance concepts and processes
- Strong data management background who understands data, how to ingest data, proper data use/consumption, data quality, and stewardship.
- Informatica (EDC, Axon, IDQ, Reference 360), Intermediate - Advanced Excel experience preferred
- Basic SQL knowledge and experience working with Visualization BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc). DataBricks basics preferred
- Advanced data analytical skills, including identification, interpretation and documentation of data patterns, standards, and quality rules
- Strong communication skills and Excel proficiency, including experience profiling with Excel
- Experience researching, validating, profiling and cataloging datasets
- Ability to own sub-tasks of a project with little supervision
