DevOps Subject Matter Expert (SME) Location: Mexico Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced OpenShift DevOps Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide deep technical expertise and guidance for our DevOps infrastructure specifically within OpenShift environments. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and high-performance containerized applications while enabling DevOps best practices to streamline development and deployment processes. Key Responsibilities: OpenShift Platform Management: Design, deploy, and manage OpenShift clusters on-premises and in cloud environments. Troubleshoot, optimize, and scale OpenShift to meet organizational needs. Ensure the platform adheres to security and compliance requirements. CICD Pipeline Development and Automation: Develop and maintain CICD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes. Integrate and manage CICD tools (e.G., Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD) to streamline delivery. Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient and seamless software delivery. Monitoring and Optimization: Set up monitoring tools (e.G., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) to maintain optimal system performance. Identify and resolve bottlenecks and reliability issues within OpenShift clusters and applications. Collaboration and Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to development and infrastructure teams on best practices for containerization and DevOps workflows. Lead training sessions and create documentation for OpenShift and DevOps methodologies. Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement IaC solutions (e.G., Ansible, Terraform) for automated and consistent infrastructure provisioning. Ensure robust version control and configuration management practices are in place. Qualifications: Technical Expertise: Proven experience with OpenShift 3.X/4.X, Kubernetes, and container orchestration. Strong knowledge of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Terraform, and CICD best practices. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud environments. Programming and Scripting Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.G., Bash, Python) for automation. Experience with YAML, JSON, and other data serialization languages. Soft Skills: Ability to mentor and lead technical teams. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
