The LATAM Regional Human Resources Director will be responsible for implementing HR strategies supporting global business objectives. We seek an experienced and dynamic HR leader adept at navigating the complexities of a matrixed environment and fostering a positive workplace culture across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee labor relations activities, including collective bargaining, contract negotiations, and dispute resolution.- Maintain productive relationships with union representatives and ensure compliance with collective agreements.- Build strong working relationships with leadership, management and employees through proactive, thorough and timely response and resolution to all employee relations concerns.- Collaborate with the Center of Excellence leaders including Compensation, Training/performance management, Recruiting to execute on strategic plans for assigned business areas.- Promote cross-cultural understanding and integration across diverse plant locations.- Develop programs that respect local customs while aligning with the company's global values and standards.- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations in each country.- Monitor changes in legislation and adjust HR policies and practices accordingly.- Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans.- Support managers in addressing performance issues and recognizing high performers.- Collaborate with the Center of Excellence leaders including Compensation, Training, Recruiting to execute on strategic plans for assigned business areas.- Promote cross-cultural understanding and integration across diverse plant locations.- Develop programs that respect local customs while aligning with the company's global values and standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.- Experience in working within a matrixed organization, effectively coordinating across multiple departments and reporting lines.- Ability to effectively lead and manage a team to ensure high productivity and team cohesion. Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a regional or multi-site leadership role within a manufacturing environment.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.- Fluency in Spanish and English is required.- Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree preferred.- Extensive experience in manufacturing sites, including those with collective bargaining agreements.- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations in Latin America.
