Reporting to the Managing Director. The Director of Operations will support the General Manager in managing the Rooms, Food and Beverage, and Engineering Departments to achieve the guest satisfaction scores, operating and financial goals of the owner. Act as General Manager in his/her absence when necessary. The Director of Operations is also expected to market ideas to promote business; reduce employee turnover, maintain revenue and payroll budgets, and meet budgeted productivity while keeping quality consistently high. Job Responsibilities:Degree/comparable qualifications in HoteI Management from a recognizable international institution. Minimum three years of Importante empresa in a luxury HoteI/resort level, preferred with Importante empresa in Five Star/Five Diamond properties. Basic Expectations:Must have knowledge of HoteI operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning. Able to resolve guest, supervisor, and associate conflicts. Must exhibit an approachable and authentic engaging demeanor. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. A starter and not a follower, with respect for others. Supervisory Responsibilities:Manage all management Colleagues within the area. Must be able to communicate instructions effectively to staff and creates a safe and comfortable environment. Must balance constructive criticism with positive feedback. Language Skills:Fluent in Spanish/English (verbal, listening and written). Be able to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees within the organization. Excellent Communication skills (verbal, listening and written). Physical Requirements:Must be able to walk and stand for up to four (4) or more hours in length. Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day. Length of time for these tasks may vary day to day and task to task. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch. Must be able to occasionally lift items up to 15lbs on a regular and continuous basis. Requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
