.**Role Summary**:The objective of the Test Engineer is to carry out hydraulic tests to guarantee correct operation for the EPO (engineered pump operations) area; Engineers capable of diagnose failures, define equipment modifications required to correct failures, create assertive and effective communication with other plant areas with the objective of achieve satisfactory results of equipment performance.**Responsibilities & Requirements**: Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronic Engineer or some related engineering TITLED with knowledge in hydraulics.Intermediate-advance level of English.Able to have an English conversation with clients and internal collaborators.Excellent written capabilities in English.Solid knowledge of API, HIS and ISO standards related to pump fabrication and pipe design standards (ASME / ANSI, AWWA)Experience in rotative equipment fabrication and test.Intermediate-Advance level in Word, advance level in Excel.Knowledge of mechanical seals and plansKnowledge of equipment tests, basic electricity and instrumentation.Geometric and dimensional tolerances knowledge.Industrial safety knowledge.Knowledge of "setup" concept.Motor start methods, instrumentation for test stands (manometers, torquemeters, power meter, pressure gage, etc.)Pump performance curve understanding (Flow, head, rated point, MCSF, etc.)Interpretation of vibration results and failure diagnosis thru vibration analysis.Basic Hydraulic modifications (affinity laws)Desirable:Instrumentation knowledge.Measurement instruments knowledge.P&ID lay out, general arrangement, machining prints.Autocad 2D, intermediate level.Electricity Basic knowledge: Transformers, motors, starters, médium voltage.Support and acomplish of test stand metrics and objectives:FPY 95%Utilization 85%Efficiency 90%6sContinuos improvement projects.Prepare and on-time delivery of required test procedures.Maintain 6s in test stand áreas (warehouses, pits, offices, equipment, instruments).Request to maintenance department voltage configurations and equipment maintenance. Follow up on requests and support for execution.Prepare pump adjustment instructions (P594), equipment release. Upload results to internal network, advise results one hour after test completion.Provide Support to production areas regarding pump modification instructions.Review inspection reports provided by QA.On time delivery of test reports of tested equipment.Daily preparation of test reports.Maintain a safe test stand operation; identify, detect and assure proper elimination of unsafe conditions and unsafe acts. Comply with safety audits and safety trainings.Maintain instruments in optimal condition.100% testing of pumps scheduled by production.Attend and pass internal audits and external audits.Attend MRB (material review boards) of hidraulic tests.Review pump selection and operating conditions to guarantee that equipment comply with selected hidraulic and mechanic behaviour per aplicable standards
