You will work alongside native engineers to build features in a new domain we are calling PRTC that is critical to Etsy's business. At Etsy, engineering managers have a limited role in the hands-on process of building software but a huge role in orchestrating and coaching engineers to achieve results together.- Prioritize, scope, plan, develop, and deliver projects at various completion stages or definitions when started.- Collaboration is critical in this role. You will work closely with other engineering teams across Etsy, advocating for and motivating change on behalf of your teams.- Participate in the end-to-end recruiting process, hiring, and onboarding exceptional engineering talent.- Partner cross-functionally with Product and Engineering to ensure that your team is delivering value for our contributors- Participate in defining and achieving Objectives and Key Results for your team.- Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require!
