Together we are generating, supporting, and executing evidence-driven solutions to address heat stress and to end the fatal Chronic Kidney Disease of non-traditional origin (CKDnt) epidemic by understanding the scale and impact of the disease and its causes. In the process, we are improving work conditions and supporting the creation and enforcement of policies required to protect those affected using data-driven recommendations.Key Duties and Responsibilities:- Utilize past financial management experience to design, implement, and oversee the financial operations of the organization; - Ensure timely and accurate financial reports and practices; - Oversee the processingof financial information and maintenance of all financial records for projects and for the organization; - Ensure compliance withdonor agreements and prepare/maintain staff contracts; - Manage financial control, prepare and analyze budgets, develop internal financial reports, and provide the financial insight to facilitate decision making within the organization; - Monitor expenditures to ensure program funds are utilized appropriately within the contracted time periods; - Ensure donor financialreporting is completed accurately and on a timely basis; - Oversee the organization's financial audit as well as financial audits of individual projects as required; - Provide financial inputs for proposal development, project management, human resource management policies, logistics, travel and other areas of administration- Assist staff in program decision-making and planning by analyzing financial aspects of programs so that staff can determine the best use of resources.Qualifications, Skills and Experience:- Relevant academic qualifications in accounting, financial management, commerce, economics or related field- Minimum of 3 years' experience leading a finance team- Relevant professional experience in an NGO setting a plus- Prior experience working on U.S. government agency grants (e.G., USAID, DoL, NIH, etc.) a plus- Significant knowledge and experience of core financial management activities- Experience creating and implanting good financial practice and controls, including transaction reviews and adjustments- Experience with budget development, preparation, and execution- Excellent skills in MS office especially MS Excel and Google sheets- Experience in automating financial practices a plus- Proficient in Quickbooks- Excellent written and oral English skills
