**Job Details****What you will do**This position is part of the team supporting the Freight Audit and Payment (FAP) activity for all JCI Business Units. The position will monitor and ensure the Third-Party Freight Audit and Payment (FAP) company is filing and following up on freight claims according to JCI standards. Responsibility includes knowing the Business Rules (in relation to claims), and details related to the processing of the claims. A metrics package for measuring the success of the Freight Audit & Payment (FAP) process will also be reviewed, with proactive analysis to improve the metrics and determine root causes. In addition, this position will also work on freight payment administration.**How you will do it**:- Review and monitor the FAP company concerning proper Business Controls and Audit procedures, and when deficiencies are discovered, follow through to ensure corrective action is taken, completed, and put in place.- Ensure our transportation providers receive claims, review claims, and resolve within designated timeframe.- Ensure our partners will provide timely reporting and data-based analytical support to JCI to better track and manage freight claims.- Create and execute claims related KPI's.- Ensure freight claims are being posted/updated weekly for logistic managers to utilize.- Work with transportation companies/provider, making sure claims are not aging and information is provided timely manner to ensure payment.- Increase recovery percentage on freight claims via collections with carriers- Foster collaboration between JCI internal business partners, transportation providers, transportation PBU leadership and plants.- Build enhanced duplicate-checking rules- File, negotiate, and perform KPI's relative to freight claims administration.- Engage in weekly/biweekly meetings with carriers, operational leadership and category managers to review open claims- Work with the JCI insurance company to resolve claims related matters**What we look for:**Required**:- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Operations Management or related Logistics field.- Experience with NMFC claims related tariffs.- Thorough knowledge of the Logistics industry, with experience in some of the following:- Distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, import/export, supply chain management.- Strong analytical skills with mid to expert level of Microsoft Excel skills.- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization including written, verbal, and visual communications.- Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus.LI-JC1- JCI is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any protected categories._
