Description
**Purpose**:
The Quality Manager is responsible for coordinating and administering the Company quality program in relationship with designated customers. It is required to work with all departments, develop and maintain effective systems to achieve quality objectives, in addition to identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for the organization, co-ordination and direction of all quality related activities in accordance with customer requirements and the company Quality Excellence Program
- Responsible for improved methods to move current Quality objectives to the next level of performance
- Responsible for the effective management of all quality department
- personnel, including task delegation, performance evaluations and
- disciplinary action
- Responsible for the documentation and development aspects of the
- Quality Manuals and is a member of the Quality Committee
- Documenting Inspection and Test Plans, which describe the inspection,
- testing and verification of the moulds specified by the customer or contract
- Responsible for implementation of new procedures developed by the
- Quality Committee
- Responsible for ensuring that any copies issued separately from the
- manual are current, and the obsolete copies are destroyed
- Assist the Plant Manager and/or the quality committee to implement
- training for Quality excellence for all company employees
- Review the Non-conformance Report and oversee quality
- committee to implement corrective and preventive actions
- Prepare Internal Quality Audit plans and assists the Plant for implementing quality audits as per TS - 16949/ IATF 16949 quality system requirements
- Responsible for certifying that customer supplied products or services comply with specified requirements and that they are consistent with the quality requirements of the final products or services
- Initiate and submit supplier corrective action report when supplier or subcontractor supplied product/service fails to meet quality requirements.
- Provide customer with updates on supplied product in the absence of the Program Manager as required
- Investigate and report on all customer complaints assuring corrective action to prevent recurrence
- As per customer requirement, prepare PPAP, FMEA Control Plan and
- submit it to customer
- Assure that all aspects of receiving and final inspection are efficient and effective
- Responsible for the periodic calibration of measuring and test equipment used in the verification of parts conformity, materials, and plant products, and for records of such calibration and its traceability to National Standards as applicable. (Including situations where calibration is subcontracted)
- Responsible for the evaluation of statistical techniques
- Assist the development and maintenance of advanced quality plans such as cost of quality programs to improve and reduce the cost of poor quality
- Ability to work with senior management team and implement their vision
- Support customer activities/APQP/current quality requirements
- Ensure compliance to TS-16949/IATF 16949 systems and procedures
**Requirements**:
**Qualifications**:
- Completion of university degree or college diploma in related field
- 2 - 5 years' experience within quality departments and systems
in automotive industry
- ISO/TS 16949/ IATF 16949, AIAG Core Tools.
- Strong communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Experience in the Automotive Industry required
- Product Safety and Conformity Representative (PSCR)
- Specific customer requirements.
- Core tools.
