**Key Responsibilities**
- Primarily responsible for US/MX border crossing coordination, Secondary international shipments.
- Process, and ensure compliance with MX, US, and foreign government laws and regulations.
- Expedites the flow of traffic to/from foreign destinations, including customs documentation and transportation.
- Coordinates with the procurement/sourcing department to establish an efficient export classification and prepare tariff schedule.
- Reduce cost for transportation
- Expert with trucking, ocean freight carriers, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and ability to negotiate.
- Handle Logistics between 3PL, warehousing in Mexicali and Calexico,
- Handle incoming and outgoing raw material and finished goods
- Obtain all required import permits and export licenses for all processes.
- Provide an efficient interface with freight forwarders and administer all freight logistics and provide an optimal level of customer services and resolve all shipment issues.
- Perform all record-keeping processes and maintain records of all entries.
- Evaluate all items for import and ensure accuracy in all values and collaborate with custom brokers to provide clearance of all imports and maintain required documents.
- Perform an audit on all import and export files on a regular basis and to ensure the best rates.
- Collaborate with various departments and obtain all certification documents and ensure compliance to all import and export policies and perform regular audits on all broker activities.
