.Job Description:The Supervisor, Import Export Operations (MX) is responsible for managing daily US-MX Customs and traffic operations in the US - Mexico border. Ensures that Customs paperwork and transactions are completed accurately, in a timely manner, and according to Trade Regulations.Main Functions:- Import permits management (SSA, AU, SEMARNAT, SAGARPA).- Coordinate item classification process (MX HTS).- New items setup - ZOE System.- Resolve MX Customs entries discrepancies (Pedimento Rectifications).- MX Broker process improvement projects.- MX Customs broker fees review and requisition creation.- Submaquila reports submission to SE.- Maintain and implements standard operational procedures (import & export).- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of cycle times and cost reduction.- Weekly review and approval of Import - Export pedimentos and Mexico Customs broker billing.- Administration of duty preference programs for Mexico imports: NAFTA, Rule 8, Service Maquiladora, other.- Supports Annex 24 and Annex 30 compliance.- Support IVA-IEPS and OEA certification maintenance.- Supports improvement of the processes related to import/export controls, and customs broker management.- Communicates with the government agencies responsible for cross-border transactions, import, and export controls in the NAM region (including FDA, US, and MX Customs).- Assist and coordinate with the Global Trade Sr. Specialist on assigning the proper US HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) number (this includes raw materials, assemblies, and finished good materials imported into United States and other countries).- Assist with the creation of procedures, guidelines, and work instructions (standard work).- Identifies procedural gaps and areas of improvement and opportunity in NAM import or export processes.- Support Sr. Global Trade Manager with Cash Management and OPEX project initiative.- Assist with the monitoring of North America KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).- Performs other duties as assigned by DJO.Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree (required)- 3+ years of Trade Compliance experience- Experience of Import-Export regulations (Including IMMEX, U.S. Import and Export Licensing)- FDA knowledge, Import-Export Compliance, Reglas Octavas, NEEC, CTPAT.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills- Annex 24 System.- Advanced Excel- Strong and effective communicator- English and Spanish- Medical Device experience (preferred)ABOUT DJO GLOBALDJO Global is a leading global developer, manufacturer and distributor of high-quality medical devices that provide solutions for musculoskeletal health, vascular health and pain management.
