.**Indirect purchasing engineer**:**Responsibilities**:Responsible for qualify, negotiate and manage contracts, in addition to aggregating and negotiating volume purchases for indirect and Capex spend categories and specific commodity products and services delivering cost reductions, cost avoidances, and or process improvement measures, which includes MRO, tools, indirect material, consumables, services in compliance LGMG rules and regulations.**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:1. Initiate, develop and implement multi-year indirect & Capex purchasing strategies to integrate and leverage spend.2. Research industry trends, market conditions, and technologies in the region for the different indirect categories and conduct competitive analysis of existing and future service providers in indirect spend categories such as MRO, Capex, indirect material, consumable, logistics and the other key value-add areas.3. Develops cost and scenario analysis, cost breakdowns, and benchmarks, including evaluation of cost drivers to support negotiation strategies to reach the best cost and optimal terms, while at the same time assessing and mitigating risks.4. Negotiate contracts, terms (pricing, payment terms, rebates, VMI, etc.), and service level agreements (as applicable) with providers of indirect spend and services.5. Evaluate new and existing suppliers. Demonstrates an ability to identify useful indicators for tracking vendor performance6. Measure and report on results (rebates, savings, service, cost avoidance, etc.) and hold service providers accountable to negotiated performance standards (e.G., deliver, quality, cost, etc.).7. Lead developing and managing cost reduction initiatives for indirect purchasing categories.8. Identify vendor issues and problem-solve project risks/issues, escalating when necessary to resolve issues affecting ability to deliver on client expectations.9. Responsible for supplier recommendations for indirect categories and implement these sourcing recommendations.**Main Experience and Competencies**:1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering minimum experience of 5 years in indirect purchasing, esp. MRO, and/or the other indirect material under Procurement & Sourcing organization. Working experience in the heaven machinery manufacturing field is preferred.2. Previous experience with CPIM or APICS, Commodity Management, Materials Management, Procurement, Project Management are beneficial3. Good Technical Purchasing knowledge to liaise with internal teams & suppliers, Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, product specifications, procedures and standard.4. Ability to cope with change effectively and adjust to accommodate the unknown or unproven.5. Capable of setting priorities in order to support business requirements; can sense what will help or hinder achieving a goal, eliminates roadblocks, and creates focus.6
