You will partner with leading companies across the globe to bring exciting, life-changing new technologies to their customers.As a Mechanical Engineer at Plexus Engineering Solutions, you will design and develop mechanical solutions for products across a wide range of industries. This role collaborates with talented software, electrical, quality, manufacturing and test engineers, and it sees all phases of the product development life cycle - from idea and conceptualize; through requirements, design, and development; to transitioning to manufacturing and into the market.OVERVIEWContribute to mechanical design efforts in various stages of product developmentRESPONSIBILITIES- Participation in project(s) to help develop high quality and cost-effective design solutions that solve complex problems- Participate in brainstorms, internal project reviews, client meetings- With the aid of CAD, modeling and design of mechanical components for processes such as sheet metal, plastic injection molding, casting, machining among others- Perform structural, thermal or tolerance analysis to ensure best design practices- Participation in prototype build and testing activitiesMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Student working toward a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic or similar career.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Junior level status- Experience in Solidworks, Creo, Ansys- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate and present ideas internally/externally- Negotiation and problem solving skills
