.Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking an IT Analyst.What you'll do:PRIMARY FUNCTION:Provides desktop, basic application, and telecom support at Eaton locations. This position will participate in the centralized support for IT applications and systems to ensure timely, reliable, cost-effective service to Eaton employees and customers. Performs daily activities relating to IT Site Infrastructure Support (SIS) of Data Networks – especially LAN, PCs, Servers, Telephony, and related systems. Possesses a detailed technical understanding of existing systems. Performs testing and evaluation of systems as part of a team. Performs analysis of system-related issues. Creates system documentation and best practices in concert with other team members. The successful candidate will also be responsible for working collaboratively with the Zone SIS team and Corporate IT functional groups and participates on initiatives that are part of Eaton Business System processes, which raise the quality of support provided across the entire organization. At smaller locations, this position may be responsible for all IT initiatives and directives that impact the location. They may also be the primary IT SIS point of contact for business leadership at the site.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Provides 1st and/or 2nd level PC support as applicable for infrastructure hardware and software in order to provide the customer with a workaround or a fix.Provides desk-side support at sites and, at smaller sites, may be the main point of contact for desk-side support.Participates in IT initiatives. May be the lead for smaller initiatives.Participates on projects as directed by IT Site Infrastructure Support (SIS). May lead smaller projects.Participates & lead projects in Industry 4.0.Coordinates, schedules, tests, implements, and documents application upgrades or patches in order to remain on current levels of software utilized in the supported sites.Gathers information needed to support IT business metrics.Maintains control of desktop software and hardware in order to ensure license compliance and asset management.Implements software and hardware upgrades to support IT initiatives and comply with established standards.Maintains infrastructure in order to decrease downtime and maintain quality.Stays current with industry trends in Information Technology advancements.Partners with other groups to seek out opportunities to increase end-user operational efficiency.Provides guidance and/or escalated support and problem resolution to more complex issues.Qualifications:English: Conversational AdvancedSPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:Microsoft Office SuiteMicrosoft Operating SystemsFamiliarity with manufacturing applications where applicableIndustry 4.0 Knowledge: IoT networksNetworking, basic telephony. A Bachelor's degree with one to three years of experience preferred (or minimum of an Associate's degree) and ITIL, MCSA, or comparable certification desirable
