The IT Application Specialist is responsible for Polaris MES Shopfloor support and provides consistent delivery of all L2 support services for Amcor Flexibles Mexico sites across the entire MES template landscape in accordance with agreed SLA's.
Application support includes all kinds of Shopfloor Application issues with adherence to Amcor Group IT recommendations to assess and align with Business Critical issues, Non Business Critical Issues (key users and end user support, monitoring and transports), Change Requests and minor Change Request and documentation following Amcor Group IT procedures and guidelines.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Provide L2 support to all existing Shopfloor Application instances according to agreed Amcor Group IT processes and adhering to agreed SLA.
- Monitor and govern application development/support processes to ensure excellent audit ratings.
- Manage change implementation from Quality to Production environment.
- Configure application specific tables and settings for assigned process (primary individual responsible) to maximize system effectiveness in meeting business needs in agreed modules.
- Work with development and implementation teams to support application processes, train L1 application support in new processes.
- Document and follow Knowledge Base Articles (KBA's).
- Review processes for control gaps and discuss with Group IT Manager and Auditors to implement procedures and policy to address the gaps.
- Monitor internal controls processes to ensure strict compliance to Amcor Group IT & Process Policy.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Business knowledge in all kinds of Shopfloor processes.
- Interested in IT Tasks and willing to learn new Tasks and Systems and Database Language.
- Experience with Application configuration across various modules preferred.
- Fluent English. Another European language would be an advantage.
- Debugging skills preferred in SQL and Java.
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in global environment preferred.
- Metrics related to incident resolution preferred.
- Role does not require travel of any significance and work is primarily remote – partial home office possible.
