The IT Support Intern is responsible for providing business-level assistance to users and computer equipment within the organization through the correct diagnosis and rapid resolution of hardware and software problems.
Position responsibilities include troubleshooting network issues, configuring operating systems, and using remote desktop connections to provide immediate support.
Use email and chat applications to maintain adequate communication with the IT team as well as with users.
In the most complex problems that require specialized attention, he will be responsible for contacting IT specialists to make a correct escalation and follow-up, carry out activities that facilitate the tasks of computing asset control and inventory maintenance, document procedures, and technical skills that facilitate the work of the IT department.
Responsibilities: - Investigate and determine solutions to problems related to hardware and software.
- Diagnose and solve technical problems, such as the configuration of email accounts, and basic network configurations, among others.
- Guide the tasks for the quick and conclusive resolution of computer problems.
- Could provide and follow instructions regarding problem-solving.
- Timely escalate and channel complex or out-of-scope issues to the appropriate specialists.
- Provide immediate and accurate responses and feedback to users.
- Properly record all reported problems.
- Prioritize and manage several problems at once.
- Provide follow-up to users to ensure that computer systems are functional.
- Document technical knowledge based on organizational guidelines.
- Maintain good relationships and harmonious communication with users and collaborators.
Requirements - Demonstrable experience in positions related to IT, technical support, or related.
- It is Indispensable to have practical skills in Windows/Mac OS environments, Linux is desirable.
- Knowledge of computer systems, mobile devices, printers, and others.
- Ability to diagnose and solve problems proactively and reactively.
- Have familiarity with ticket management and technical support systems such as (GLPI, Zendesk, Freshdesk, etc.)
- Good communication skills for problem-solving.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Ability to provide instructions clearly and precisely, both orally and in writing.
- Higher technical degree or bachelor's degree related to information technology or computing.
