**What you will bring to the team.**
As an SW Developer Intern working for Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, you will play a key role in supporting some of the essential SW ingredients used in several critical retail brands. We provide services to retail clients worldwide by developing and delivering custom software solutions such as self-checkout and mobility solutions.

**What you will be doing**:
Maintain and enhance the automation infrastructure we have in the project. As part of this role, you will also learn and aid in DevOps, vulnerability analysis, and updates.
Other activities may include working with the support team
- Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze issues.
- Develop code fixes,
- Create and execute Unit Tests.
- Create and execute BDDs.
- Learn about TGCS product offerings and how clients use them.
- Learn about how TGCS products go from an idea to a fully-fledged product.
**Naturally to be successful in this role, you must have and know of**:
- Currently pursuing Computer Science, Software development Engineering or related career.
- Be in the last semesters, at least 6 months to 1 year to finish the career.
- RFC from SAT.
- Availability to work 25 hours per week.
- **Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented programming (Java/JavaScript)**:
- Conversational English.
- Interested in learning and starting a career in software development and support.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Programming and analytical skills, problem determination and debugging, attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Computer Science fundamentals in data structures.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Understanding of the Scrum methodology.
- Skills in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Knowledge of Linux and shell scripting.
- Understanding of frameworks like VueJS, Angular.
- Test automation knowledge (Junit, Selenium, Cucumber, Jenkins, etc.)
