**Lean Engineer Role and Responsibilities**The CI/Lean Engineer provides coaching and project leadership to all levels of the Manufacturing and Distribution Organizations on the use and practice of Lean methodology and tools**Lean Engineer Duties & Responsibilities**Deliver Lean and Continuous Improvement results utilizing but not limited to:- value stream mapping- kaizen- leader standard work- material flow- 5S- Visual workplace management- root cause analysis and corrective action- layered process auditing- Facilitate and coach smed initiatives- Lead Daily management process (tier meetings and waste and variation elimination)- Facilitate problem solving initiatives (5whys, 8D's).- Analyze lines for constraints and bottlenecks to achieve continuous flow.- Formulate strategic improvement hypotheses within the A3 Thinking process.- Facilitate Lean activities and workshops- Lead 5/6S system and implementation- Facilitate or support continuous improvement activities (RCA, Kaizen, A3) by leveraging/modeling DMAIC process.- Engage and inspire all members of the organization to recognize process improvement opportunities and actively participate in the realization/validation of their suggestions utilizing (5/6S, Standard Work, and Visual Management)**Education Requirements**Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Manufacturing, and Industrial EngineeringLean/Six Sigma certification**Skills and Experiences**Strong skills in the Microsoft suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Experience in a WMS environmentComfortable presenting to all levels of leadershipExperience in a lean transformation (strongly preferred)Able to function in a complex environmentManufacturing or Wholesale distribution (shipping to retailers experience preferred)Sharing best practicesUnderstand and proactively 'coach' mindsets that are resistant to change and improvement
