The clerk will work closely with our legal and administrative teams to manage billing tasks and provide exceptional service to clients.What You'll Do:Data Entry for Payments: Record payments accurately and efficiently into billing systems.Financial Integrity Management: Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial records across billing and accounting software.Client Support: Address client questions regarding balances and billing details with professionalism and clarity.Customer Service: Provide a friendly and supportive point of contact for billing-related inquiries.Drafting Bills: Prepare, review, and send invoices to clients.Quality Control: Regularly audit billing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.Support for Accounts Receivable: Assist in tracking and following up on outstanding payments.Billing Software Expertise: Work with tools like Bill4Time and TimeSlips (experience with these systems is preferred).What You'll Bring:Fluency in English and SpanishHigh Attention to Detail: Proven ability to work meticulously, especially when managing billing and financial records.Organizational Skills: Maintain structure and efficiency in financial processes and client communications.Strong Customer Service Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients.Professionalism: Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with care.Commitment to Firm Values: Align with the firm's values of integrity, compassion, teamwork, and excellence.Firm Preferences:Proficiency in Billing Software: Experience with Bill4Time, TimeSlips, or similar systems is strongly preferred.Experience Within the Legal Industry: Prior work in a legal setting is strongly preferred.Experience with Client Accounts and Billing: Strongly preferred for managing and reconciling financial data.Post-Secondary Education: Preferred but not required
