Your Tasks Role Purpose:
To ensure the company's legal integrity across the CaMex and Andean regions, including the Mexican factory and LATAM Shared Services Center, by serving as a trusted business partner and effectively overseeing legal and compliance issues via the Business Law Center of Excellence
Main Accountabilities: General Contract management: Oversee and manage contracts for major categories such as CAPEX, Real Estate & Facilities, Construction, Energy, and Engineering Machines. Ensure company's goals and comply with all Legal & Compliance standards. CLM platform maintenance: Administer and optimize the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform, ensuring accurate and efficient contract administration across the company. Corporate Governance: Responsible for Corporate Governance. Support and manage corporate governance practices, including compliance with statutory obligations and maintaining corporate records. Tax & Fiscal law: Responsible for Tax & Fiscal Law. Provide guidance and support on tax and fiscal law matters, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations. Direct retailers: Manage legal aspects related to direct retail operations, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Coordination of litigation: Coordinate legal strategies in litigation cases, working closely with external counsel to defend the company's interests. Managing legal disputes and claims resolution: Handle disputes and claims efficiently, aiming to mitigate risks and resolve issues in favour of the company. Legal reporting: Prepare comprehensive legal reports for senior management, highlighting risks, opportunities, and the status of ongoing legal matters. Continuous legal advisory on commercial and regulatory matters: Provide ongoing legal advice on commercial and regulatory issues impacting the cosmetics industry, ensuring the company adapts to legal and market changes effectively. Emerging Markets Strategic Legal & Compliance Priorities Strategic alignment: Align contributions seamlessly with the strategic goals of Emerging Markets. Legal task oversight: Manage the "business as usual" legal work so that the business's needs are met. Proactive Risk Management: Proactively lead in risk management, addressing potential legal and regulatory challenges that could impact Beiersdorf negatively. Team development and excellence: Contribute to the excellence and development of the Legal & Compliance team aligned with Beiersdorf's values. External Third-party relations: Maintain corporate interactions with relevant third parties Advisor network: Build an adequate portfolio of external advisers Your Profile Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Knowledge: Law Degree. Fluent Spanish and English. Experience: +5 years of experience in a multinational company. Skills: Effective communication: Demonstrated ability to concisely and effectively communicate complex legal and regulatory matters, both orally and in written form. Business-Legal acumen: Strong capability to balance in-depth legal expertise with practical business judgment to support strategic objectives. Independent workload management: Proficient in independently managing a large, diverse, and complex workload, with minimal supervision.
