Job Title: Linux AdministratorWe are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions, transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.Key Responsibilities:Install, configure, and troubleshoot RedHat Linux 7,8, and 9 servers.Experience in installing and patching Linux servers using RedHat Satellite.Deploy Virtual Machines in any virtualization platform (VMWare/Nutanix) and troubleshoot VM-related issues.Scripting knowledge using Shell Scripting/Ansible.Basic understanding of cloud technologies (Azure/AWS/GCP).Basic networking concepts and OSI model.IT service management process understanding and willingness to learn.Coordinate with the team, manage regular tasks, and incidents; achieve SLAs in a timely manner with required improvements.Provide 24x5 technical support with weekend on-call availability for customer issues and vendor escalations.Complete mandatory training sessions to gain an understanding of the environment and begin supporting operational activities related to RedHat Linux, Satellite, Ansible, and OpenShift infrastructure.Ensure a Service Level Agreement (SLA) of over 95% for handling incidents and catalog tasks.Support Jira cases and implement Requests for Change (RFCs) according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Monitor the environment for potential system issues and resolve them appropriately.FOLLOW THE CHANGE MANAGEMENT PROCESS FOR PLANNED MAINTENANCE OR WHEN POTENTIAL ISSUES ARE IDENTIFIED.Able to handle customers and work with cross-functional teams over voice/email/chat.Education:B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, other technical disciplines, or equivalent work experience.The specified role does not encompass the following responsibilities:Finalization of sales agreements or the execution of sales contracts is prohibited.
