Maintenance Engineer The Maintenance Engineer will support the Engineering & Maintenance Manager in optimizing the performance of the maintenance department.
This role involves leading a team of maintenance technicians, managing maintenance activities, ensuring safety, conducting downtime and root cause analysis, and executing strategies to improve equipment performance (OEE, MTTF, MTTR).
The engineer will implement maintenance systems, including corrective, preventive, and predictive strategies, while promoting TPM practices.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the maintenance team, ensuring performance, safety, and continuous development.Oversee maintenance activities and implement TPM practices to enhance machine reliability and reduce downtime.Develop and maintain a maintenance schedule for timely execution of tasks.Analyze downtime, identify root causes, and take corrective actions to improve equipment performance.Enforce safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, and ensure compliance with regulations.Provide technical expertise in PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting.Control spare parts inventory to reduce downtime.Assist in the design of maintenance areas and the setup of new equipment.Supervise contractors for facility and machinery upgrades.Plan and execute internal and external maintenance projects.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field).3+ years of experience in a maintenance engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong experience with downtime analysis, OEE, MTTR, and MTTF metrics.Expertise in PLC programming, electrical and mechanical systems, and predictive maintenance.Familiarity with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and safety standards.Proficient in English for communication and reporting.
