Job Summary: Lead the development and implementation of the SCM strategy for the plant in Reynosa, Mexico to facilitate the cost-effective flow of merchandise from suppliers to customers. This role is responsible for Planning, Purchasing, and Logistics, as well as minimizing purchasing costs without compromising quality and reliability of supply.
Responsibilities: Coordinate and control logistic supply chain and processes related to raw material replenishment and finished product within the Plant Support production planning, purchasing, and logistic team, as well as Import-Export and Customs Manage material constraints status, set priorities, and manage escalation Work in close cooperation with Value Stream Managers to achieve delivery performance, inventories, and log costs objectives Liaise with Sales organization on demand management and customer delivery Perform material planning for suppliers and internal operational/production plans Manage purchasing and forecasting activities Assure the flawless material supply to the production Monitor and liaise with Global Procurement to ensure materials availability Assure special customer transport and delivery requirements Schedule and execute the transportation according to the customer requirements Responsible for Inventory management and Excess and Obsolete material elimination Dispatch/transport/packing cost minimization Support for the development and maintenance of new processes and intercompany SLA's Realize on time, qualitative, and cost-efficient deliveries to customers Contribute to the development of the organization's overall supply and logistics strategy Ensure performance improvement and recovery plans are developed, issued, tracked, and reported on as required for supply base management and improvement Anticipate potential problems and risks, and generate ideas, insight, and solutions to resolve potential problems, followed by decisive action to implement solutions Provide technical expertise and advice to functional or operational areas managers to help them successfully deliver Identify and implement strategies to improve SCM constantly Develop and build a culture of engagement at all levels of the business to provide a highly energized team which is flexible to meet the changing needs of the business Work according to the I.M.S. (Integrated Management System) which includes ISO 9K, 18K, 14K, 27K, and 22301 Requirements: Strong knowledge of production planning/purchasing/logistics management Export and import know-how ERP/SAP skills Negotiations and communication capability Ability to lead/participate in multinational project/working groups Strong project management skills with attention to detail and strong organizational skills Track record of driving operational excellence, implementing significant improvements resulting in cost reductions Strong prioritization, process improvement, and project management experience High energy, data-driven, and results-oriented Excellent change management skills, hands-on, and results-oriented with a fearless approach to work
