**Your role at Baxter**:
As a highly qualified and expert Purchasing Manager, you will have the opportunity to ensure cost savings, improve supply chain efficiency and build strong relationships with suppliers.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Lead the purchasing function for new product development projects in the LATAM region.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve purchasing requirements and develop sourcing strategies.
- Lead supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials.
- Implement and maintain purchasing systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues from different departments to predict demand and improve inventory management.
- Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to identify potential opportunities and risks.
- Participate in product development meetings to provide input on cost optimization and supplier selection.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance purchasing processes and outcomes.

**What you'll bring**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business administration, supply chain management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years' experience in Procurement, Project Management and/ or Mechanical Engineering.
- Purchasing or Supply Chain certification desirable.
- Experience in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint. Business Analytics experience with Tableau, Microsoft BI is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, pro-active personality.
- Strong business process and critical thinking.
- Sound financial skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and engage senior management of current and potential suppliers.
- Ability to communicate in a professional way with internal collaborators (senior management) to ensure the necessary buy-in for the sourcing/savings projects.
- Ability to engage and support key stakeholders throughout the PSM process.
- Good oral, written communications, and presentation skills.
- An entrepreneurial personality with a strong negotiation skill coupled with a commercial mindset. First-rate analytical and problem-solving skills, with flexibility to devise alternative solutions to complex problems
- Knowledge of six sigma / black belt methodologies is desirable.
