This position will be involved in tax projects within the department including supporting future IRS audits, managing the headquarter time survey and assisting with the coordination of transfer pricing documentation. This position will work with all of the Company's International locations and support issues that arise. This position will work cross functionally within the corporate Headquarters as well as within the business unit finance organizations globally.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Reviews calculations for BorgWarner's quarterly and year-end income tax provisions in compliance. Includes collection of information required to compute the provision, book necessary entries, research tax issues as they arise, prepare account reconciliations, prepare the detailed work papers required to comply with auditing standards imposed.
- Ability to summarize/present
- Audit /Public Accounting (preferred)
- ERP systems and data extraction
- Experience in general ledger accounting Plant
- cost expertise Quotation / forecasting / standard costing Reporting/closing
- experience SAP/Knowledge at HFM
- Compliance with all operating and administrative procedures of the organization ("EOS" and compliance with internal control).
- Provide support and follow up on the Quality, Environmental, Internal Control Systems applicable to their area and specific function. Use the organization's communication system continuously with its people and support areas.
- Communicate to your superior in a timely manner any abnormal situation or request for help, Follow the rules of the organization and its communication systems, comply with the plans and programs of training, training and development related to your area,
- Enforce the rules in any of the places where the COMPANY operates in this city or any other city in the Mexican Republic.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 8 years of tax experience (Industry/Public Accounting)
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
- MST and/or a CPA preferred
- Prior experience in a corporate environment preferred
- Strong technical skills and experience in ASC 740
- Knowledge of tax law
- Must have intermediate to advanced level computer skills or must be able to learn new software quickly (Hyperion, Smartview, FDM, CCH Research (online research), OneSource Income Tax, OneSource Tax Provision, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word)
- Must have professional interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be a team player
- Must have the ability to keep up with changes in the field of tax law
- Must have strong ethics and values and have the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must be able to work independently
- Good conceptual, critical thinking, analytical, quantitative skills and the ability to problem solve
