Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.- What YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:_- In this position, you will get to:_- Support several manufacturing processes to ensure equipment uptime, meet production goals and maintain high product quality.- Prepare and maintains manufacturing documentation (Routers, BOMS's, Standard Work, and Work Instructions) for new and existing equipment in manufacturing.- Find opportunities and lead projects to improve efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality and achieve on time delivery to meet production needs.- Lead new equipment financial justifications, installations, process modifications and improvements.- Work with operators, team leaders, value stream managers, and planners to optimize process center layouts and designs incorporating material flow and line balancing.- Collaborate with maintenance and operators to solve equipment problems.- Coordinate with Product Development to successfully launch new products into high-volume manufacturing.- Champion Lean Manufacturing across the plant through multi-functional events and continuous improvement projects.- You have:_- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.- Ideally 3+ years' experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or related discipline.- Previous experiences in cooling is a must.- Familiar with statistical methods, 6-sigma and Lean Manufacturing.- Fluent in English.- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers.- Self-motivated and ability to motivate others.- Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities.- Proficient use of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.- Experience in sheet metal processes.- Experience with AutoCAD.- Lean manufacturing background and a strong focus on continuous improvement.- We have:_- A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day- We are a $2.5 billion, high-performance electrical company with a dedicated team of 9,500 people, across more than 80 global locations- We have a robust portfolio of product brands dating back more than 100 years and including: nVent CADDY, ERICO, HOFFMAN, RAYCHEM, SCHROFF and TRACER- Commitment to strengthen communities where our employees live and work- We encourage and support the philanthropic activities of our employees worldwide- Through our nVent in Action matching program, we provide funds to nonprofit and educational organizations where our employees volunteer or donate money- Core values that shape our culture and drive us to deliver the best for our employees and our customers
