As the**Manufacturing Process Engineer**, you will be responsible for designing and implementing equipment systems and procedures used in manufacturing facilities. Its main functions include testing and monitoring equipment, updating current system processes and performing risk assessments.
**Essential Functions**
- Experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes.
- Design new production and test equipment/tools.
- Establish quality controls for manufacturing systems.
- Maintain contact with suppliers.
- Conduct the analysis and quoting process for new equipment necessary for the launch of new production lines. As well as its proper installation.
- Create processes and procedures.
- Optimizes productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures.
- Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements.
- Reduce the generation of waste.
- Follow-up to corrective action system.
- Assesses compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.
- Development of savings projects.
- Designing and validating packaging for products.
- Development of ergonomic improvement projects.
- Design quality assurance systems.
- Layout updates.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings.
- Establish an effective and efficient work sequence.
- Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems.
- Contributes to departmental efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- MS Office experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD/ Minitab.
- Knowledge of the 8 wastes of lean.
- Ability to interact effectively with others in the workplace.
- Proven work experience as a process engineer.
- Great analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
