**Position Title**:Production Chief
**Position Description**:
He is responsible for managing the production activities (manufacturing/formulation and primary/secondary conditioning) of the different technologies (powders, liquids and soaps), under the Safety and Quality regulations (GMP) and the Productivity/Operational Excellence standards.
He is also responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams ("Process Teams") to ensure that the processes/products under his management are compliant, under control, capable and continuously improved.
**Functions, Duties, Tasks**:
- Lead the operating teams of the different production lines to fulfill the production plans.
- Lead his "Process Team", promoting multidisciplinary collaboration and implementing control strategies, in order to the processes/products under his management are in compliance, under control, capable and continuously improved.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local and global QHSE standards in the areas and processes under their responsibility; support the corresponding audits.
- Collaborate with the Technical Operations area (TSMS, Engineering and Maintenance) to achieve and maintain the qualified / validated status of the areas and technical systems / manufacturing processes and cleaning procedures under his responsibility.
- Maintain and improve Productivity standards, minimizing variations and maximizing the use of resources.
- Maintain and improve operating, ergonomics and order and cleanliness conditions of Production areas and equipment.
- Execute the administrative activities required by the area (closing production orders in SAP, implementation / updating of manufacturing procedures and protocols, purchase of supplies, reports, etc.)
- Design and standardize manufacturing processes for new (launching, technology transfer) and existing products.
- Implement and/or maintain "Lean" tools (e.g. 5s', MUDA, Standard Work, VSMs', Autonomous Maintenance, SMED, etc.) that support the continuous improvement of processes.
- Support investment projects (renovations, new equipment, etc.) in the area under his responsibility.
- Implement and monitor the KPIs of his area (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost)
- Lead and/or support the initiatives / strategic projects of the site.
- Foster a good work environment among Production personnel, through the values of Respect, Integrity and Excellence.
- Manage the creation and monitoring of individual training plans, development plans and performance evaluations for the employees under his responsibility.
**Technical Qualifications and required competencies (education, experience and/or training, certifications)**:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Industrial or Pharmaceutical Engineering or related careers
Experience and skills
- 5 years of experience as Production Chief or Supervisor in Chemical, Pharmaceutical or related industries.
- Experience in management and development of people (preference unionized personnel).
- Experience in attention to Government Audits (Cofepris, Sader) and Corporate.
- Planning by capacity / Capacity Management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Teamwork (negotiation, collaboration and alignment).
- Customer and results focus.
- Analytical capabilities, data analysis and problem solving.
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices / Data Integrity and applicable manufacturing and quality regulations (SENASICA GMP Manual, NOM-002-SCFI, NOM-012-ZOO, NOM-022-ZOO, NOM-026 -ZOO, etc.)
- Knowledge of applicable HSE regulations (NOM-STPS-004, NOM-010-STPS, NOM-011-STPS, NOM-017-STPS, NOM-018-STPS, NOM-026-STPS)
- Deep knowledge of unitary operations.
- Knowledge of Process Control strategies.
- Desired knowledge of qualification/validation and strategies for maintaining qualified/validated status
- Desired Knowledge of federal labor law
- Fluent Spanish, Intermediate English
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing (Yellow belt level)
- SAP (management of production orders, purchase requisitions)
